Alcove Showers

Alcove showers are a practical solution that can save a lot of space. They have three shower walls with a single threshold and can also come with a ceiling included.
This free collection features six families from the manufacturer Aquatic Bath and three families from Maax. The families cover a range of different sizes, materials and uses, ranging from standing showers to roll-in showers that enable people to enter in a shower wheelchair. They are all one-piece alcove models made from acrylic.
Variations on a theme
From Aquatic Bath we have six ADA-compliant and ANSI-certified families that offer different combinations of material finishes, sizes and certification.
Each model has at least eight types based on variations in color, seat visibility and whether they are designed for left- or right-handed operation.
The collection also includes three families from Maax, featuring different sizes of their Via model. Each model has one built-in type for the standard white subway tile material and shower kit installation.
All of our shower families use 2D geometry in plan view and elevations, enabling a fast workflow in Revit when placing units or working on layouts.
Shower kit included
The showers come complete with a default shower kit from manufacturer American Standard. The shower kit is a nested family so it can easily be replaced by another model, but until then it offers some useful context for the showers.
In an upcoming blog, I’ll go into more detail on the technical aspects of this shower kit and how its construction makes it a very good nested family. It took a lot of time to build the shower kit to our standards, but, like any nested family, the time spent will be increasingly worthwhile the more we use it. And you can expect more shower Revit families from us soon.
