Press fit systems have long been a popular choice for joining copper piping. This is primarily due to speed, as press fit systems have no heating or cooling times. In recent years, however, press fit systems have been growing in popularity for steel pipework as well.
The Streamline® STL carbon press fittings from Mueller Streamline are perfect for mechanical and sprinkler systems using schedule 10 & 40 carbon steel pipe. They are also compatible with most tools and jaws on the market, making them easy to use and cost-effective.

The collection features a compact set of essential fittings – pipe type, reducer, coupling, bend (elbow), end cap, reducing and equal tee. We've created the pipe type itself with the full routing preferences already defined, so you can load it and start drawing your pipework without a second thought.

Each family is modeled to match Mueller Streamline's product specifications and CS fitting standards, ensuring dimensional accuracy and peace of mind when coordinating. All fittings range from 1/2” to 2” nominal diameters.
Bends
The bend covers the Streamline® 45 degree and 90 degree elbows.

Tees
The tee family is capable of equal size connections and reducing branches.

Flexible Installation
The pipe type has been given a 1 degree tolerance. For instance, the 90 degree bend can produce 89-91 degree bends to suit any small discrepancies in coordination. This tolerance also allows for installation at fall/gradient without throwing out a Revit error which can happen with some of Revit’s out-of-the-box fittings.

IsCustom Option
Our families for the Streamline carbon steel press pipe fittings use Revit’s IsCustom option to keep your workflow fast and flexible.
If an invalid angle or nominal diameter is used, Revit still allows the pipe to be drawn but flags the fitting as custom and highlights it in bright red. You can model freely, then quickly spot and fix any issues later.

Internal Connectors for improved material takeoff
These fittings have their system connectors placed inside the socket as per real life installation. This allows for more accurate coordination and especially material take-offs in Revit.

The carbon steel pressed pipe type from Mueller Streamline is a great addition to anyone’s Revit MEP content library, offering fast and accurate coordination that you can rely on.
